Craig Mitchell Smith was chosen in 2010 to make the ornament from Michigan for the National Christmas tree in Washington D. C.  The tradition continues with Craig's 2011 ornament, the Dove of Peace.

A note from Craig:

 In May of 2011 Delphi Glass asked me to design my ornament for inclusion in their catalog.  I tried several things, nothing was working.  The Angels didn't fly.  The bows looked saggy.  Then one day, while watching the news I realized that all the world needs is Peace.  The first Dove of Peace I made was a winner.
